Some people think the world owes them something on their birthday. I disagree. The world doesn't owe anyone anything. It just is.
Recently I celebrated a birthday. It was nice. There was music, dancing, cupcakes, and booze. During this celebration of time, my friend asked me something like, "What are your goals for the next ten years?".
Birthdays are a terrific opportunity to reflect on past accomplishments and set new goals. I do this type of reflection and future creation regularly so I responded with a short list:
- Run a marathon
- Earn a PhD
These are fun and exciting goals and given their importance to me I also want to share good things with people like you. Things that may improve your life. Things like Dr. DeFoore's Goodfinding Newsletter.
The idea behind goodfinding is to actively seek out good; this will allow the mind to create excellent health, great relationships and lasting success. This newsletter is a monthly opportunity to practice goodfinding in your personal life.

It seems fitting that I close this out with a quote from one of my favorite writers:
None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm.
